My usual reaction to an Erin Wasson ensemble is, “You can’t fool me, girl.” Because sometimes I really think she is trying to see how stupid she can look and still have fashblogs pee their pants over her crushed velvet sombrero or what have you. She’s skewed a bit Mystery in the past (and the eyeliner really doesn’t help her case)– here, though, I think she looks beautiful.

Boston blew right through sweater weather and it is officially mitten weather. At least tonight. Ugh. Never one to wear, uh, patterns, I still like the feel of this shoot. I like the “put on every piece of warm clothing you own” and run through a field with your boyfriend look, I guess.

Something about the John Galliano Spring 2010 collection is really resonating with me. He managed to make a whole lot of ruffles and lace and chiffon look bad ass and unfussy. It’s a little post-apocalyptic Little Edie– and how could that be bad?
